Road Safety website contributes towards Digital Library The Arrive Alive Road Safety website has decided to honor a request to assist in providing road safety information to the eGranary Digital Library. The eGranary Digital Library provides millions of digital educational resources to institutions lacking adequate Internet access. Through a process of garnering permissions, copying Web sites, and delivering them to intranet Web servers INSIDE our partner institutions in developing countries, we deliver millions of multimedia documents that can be instantly accessed by patrons over their local area networks at no cost.

This assistance is appreciated and a note was received earlier today from “The WiderNet Project, University of Iowa with the following wording:

“Thank you for permission to republish your materials in the eGranary Digital Library. We appreciate your contribution to the collection and your help in our effort to make materials that are already available to those with adequate Internet access equally available to those around the world without such access.

In addition to the materials you already donated, we always need help finding materials and resources for students and scholars in developing nations. If you have any further materials that you would like to donate or if you know of other collections and/or individual resources that the students and scholars our project helps would find useful, please let us know about those resources.”

May these efforts from the eGranary Digital Library assist in addressing the dangers to road safety in developing countries!!
