eNaTIS sets new record
In October 2008 the National Traffic Information System (eNaTIS) processed a staggering 14 387 405 transactions, the most for a single month since the system was launched in April 2007. Significantly, the system handled the large volume of transactions effortlessly and without interruption, as it was designed to do. Several upgrades executed in October had no impact on service delivery. System uptime was 100% during business hours, and in the rare instances where service centres could not access the eNaTIS this was invariably as a result of data line issues and not due to non-availability of the core system.
