Late last night we were called out to an accident on the N2 north bound in Prospecton. On arrival we found a taxi and a light motor vehicle involved in the collision. From the impact, both vehicles rolled and the light motor vehicle landed up approximately 20 metres off the freeway in the grass and the taxi came to rest in the centre median.
A total of 8 patients were injured, all from the taxi, 4 of which were transported through to hospital with serious injuries. It is believed the taxi was on the way to DBN from Umtata. It is unclear how this collision occurred however SAPS Isipingo was on the scene to investigate.
