On the morning of the 25th Netcare 911 and the emergency services rushed to the scene of an accident at the Isotcha traffic lights between an SAPS vehicle and a taxi. 2 Passengers from the taxi sustained minor injuries whilst an elderly lady from the SAPS vehicle died on scene due to the severity of her injuries.
2 Police members had serious injuries and another two had minor injuries. After paramedics stabilised the patients on scene the SAPS members were transported to the Netcare Margate hospital for further treatment .
