A 4 year old boy is fighting for his life in the Charlotte Maxeke hospital after he was found in a prostrate position at the bottom of the pool. Details of how or when the boy landed in the pool is still speculative.
His mother went looking for him and was horrified to see her child lying motionless at the bottom of the pool. Her hysterical scream alerted the house owners who ran to her assistance.
The man jumped into the pool and pulled the lifeless little body from the water, they started to resuscitate the child and felt a sigh of relief when they herd the sirens of the ambulance coming down the street.
The ambulance crew took over the resuscitation and was joined by the advanced life support paramedic shortly after. The child was placed on a ventilator and given resuscitation drugs and within minutes you saw the relief in the family and bystanders when the little boy’s heart started beating and he showed signs of breathing.
The patient was then placed in the ambulance and stayed in the care of the Netcare 911 advanced life support paramedic all the way to the hospital.

My wife & I do hope this little boy recovers. It makes us sad everytime a child is hurt, their lives are threatened, or they die. Our grandson was taken from us at age 10 due to a very freak accident. I am a safety director. My son is a safety director. Our job job is spent making sure our place of employment are safe, yet we could not save the greatest joy we had.
We do pray this boy will recover.
