Biker injured in Joostenbergvlakte crash

A 32 year old man sustained serious injuries this afternoon after he fell off his motorcycle allegedly avoiding a truck. The man had allegedly jumped of his motorbike to avoid colliding with the truck. He proceeded to roll for some distance before stopping.
When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene they found the injured man by the side of the road. He was in severe pain. Due to the injuries sustained and the distance to the nearest medical facility the ER24 Discovery Medicopter was called to the scene.
The man was treated by ER24 paramedics and personnel from the Western Cape Provincial Department of Health Emergency Medical Services. He had sustained a suspected back and neck injury as well as a head injury and various broken bones in his right leg.
Personnel established a landing zone for the Medicopter to land at a nearby site. The man was stabilised at the scene before being airlifted to Mediclinic Cape Gate for further treatment. Local law enforcement officials who attended the scene will investigate the incident further.

This was my brother. He did not jump off his bike the truck drver just did not look as he knocked him on the radiator of his bike! The story has been sensastionalized! The only people on the scene that saw the whole thing happen had to go to kraaifontein police station themselfs yesterday to go and give a statement as nobody has contacted them yet! No investigations was done and no measurements was done! The company Protea Chemicals has not even made time to contact him or us! This a father of two small kids and a wife wedded for 5yrs now dont people have any heart. But we all know that there are being fiddled here so we will get to the truth as we have high ranking relatives in the SAPS so lets see how this pans out! We are not asking for special treatment we just want fairness!
