Taxi collides with 2 cars leaves 15 injured

Fifteen people have been injured after three vehicles collided at the junction of Windermere Road and Innes Road on Saturday morning just after 07:30am.

Rescue Care paramedics arrived to find that the initial collision occurred in the intersection before the taxi lost control and mounted the pavement and collided with a parked vehicle. Paramedics found that twelve people from the taxi had been injured and three from the vehicle all with various injuries. More ambulances were called and once all of the injured had been stabilized they were transported to various Durban hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
