Three injured in bike collision in Bellair

Three people have been injured including a 12 year old seriously after a motor bike and a car collided on Sarnia Road near Titren Road just after 1pm today.

Rescue Care paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a bike had collided with a car in a T bone format. They assessed the scene and found that two occupants on the bike including a 12 year old boy and the driver of the vehicle had sustained various injuries. Advanced Life Support intervention was needed as one of the occupants had sustained a serious fracture. Once all of the injured had been stabilized they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
