Roodepoort pedestrian crash leaves man injured

A twenty-four-year-old man was injured following a pedestrian accident on Ontdekkers Road in Florida North, Roodepoort.

Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man had managed to move to the side of the road where members of the public were trying to assist the man with his injuries. Upon assessment of the injured man they found that he had sustained serious injuries after he was knocked over by a delivery heavy goods vehicle while trying to cross the road.

The seriously injured man was treated at the scene and transported to hospital under the care of an Advanced Life Support Paramedic for further medical care.

Traffic was affected as a result of the pedestrian accident.

Exact detail surrounding the cause of the pedestrian accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
