Fourteen people were injured following an accident on Johan le Roux road in Meyerton this morning.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
However, reports from the scene indicate that a motor vehicle crashed against the driver door of a minibus at the intersection, resulting in the minibus leaving the roadway, going down an embankment and crashing through a residential fence. The minibus came to a standstill in the property of the residential house.
Upon assessment of the occupants from both vehicles, paramedics found that fourteen people sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.
The injured patients were treated at the scene and transported to various hospitals for further medical care.
