A collision between two taxis and light motor vehicle this morning at the Sandton Drive and William Nicol Road intersection, Johannesburg, has left 16 people injured this morning.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on scene and found the three vehicles on the side of the road near the intersection. Occupants from the vehicle were found standing around the scene.
On assessment, paramedics found that 16 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to critical.
Paramedics immediately began their treatment of the patients and provided advanced life support to the critically injured patient.
Once all the patients were treated, they were transported by various services to nearby Hospitals for urgent medical attention. The critically injured patient was transported by ambulance to Johannesburg General Hospital for urgent medical attention.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
