Two suspects arrested for dealing in heroin worth R500 000 in Bishop Lavis


Yesterday (2015-09-29) at about 15:20 Bishop Lavis Crime Prevention Unit were busy with Crime Prevention in Bonteheuwel, Bishop Lavis. While they were busy with crime prevention patrols in Soetdoring Street they come across a white Hyundai Sonata with two occupants.

They then stopped the vehicle and searched the occupants (male and female) and the vehicle.  Members then found three plastic bags containing heroin in the glove box between the seats  to an estimated street value of R500 000 and also found R20 443,10 in cash the vehicle.

A 30 year old male from Belgravia, Athlone and 18 year old female (student grade 12) also from Belgravia, Athlone were arrested.

A case of dealing in drugs was opened for investigation.
