Children among those injured in Alberton collision

Seven people, among them two children, were injured in a collision between two cars in Van Riebeeck Avenue in Alberton this morning.

ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the vehicles on the road. Patients who were found on the sidewalk were assessed.

Patients included a girl believed to be 18 months of age and another believed to be about eight years old.

All patients sustained injuries ranging  from minor to moderate.

They were treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown.

Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
