N2 KwaMashu truck crash leaves three injured


On Wednesday evening Netcare 911 paramedics responded to two trucks that was involved in a rear end collision on the N2 north near the KwaMashu off ramp. Exact detail to the cause of the collision and preceding events will remain a subject for the South African Police investigation.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the crumpled remains of the truck and accident debris consistent with a high impact collision spread over a large area. After triaging the injured it was found that there people were injured. One man was in a critical condition while two others sustained serious injuries.

The critically wounded man was sedated and placed on a ventilator before he was transported to a hospital in Umhlanga under the constant care of an advanced life support paramedic. The seriously injured patients were treated at the scene and then transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
