Sixteen injured in Randburg taxi collision

ER24 Call cENTRESixteen people, including two children, were injured when a taxi and a Mercedes collided with each other on the corners of Malibongwe and Rabie Streets, Randburg.

Shortly after 11am paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene where they found the occupants on the sidewalk near the taxi. It is understood that all of them climbed out of the taxi after the collision. Fifteen occupants sustained minor injuries ranging from soft tissue injuries to abrasions. One occupants sustained moderate injuries.

Two children, aged 1 year and 4 months, were also found on the scene. Both of them sustained minor injuries.

All of the occupants were transported to various hospitals in the area. The driver of the Mercedes was not injured in the collision. The exact cause of the collision is not yet known.
