Roughly 30 children injured when bees attack

ER24 Call cENTRE

It is believed that roughly 30 children were injured this afternoon after they were stung by a swarm of bees at a high school in Pretoria.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on scene where they found that numerous children had been stung by a swarm of bees.

It is believed that mechanics had been working on the school floodlights when the bees were apparently disturbed.

A triage area was set up by paramedics on scene. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported at the time.

A number of the children were transported privately prior to the arrival of paramedics. Other patients were transported by paramedics on scene to various hospitals in the area.

Local authorities were on scene.
