Car collides with cow injuring two, Knysna

Two people were injured this evening after their light motor vehicle hit a cow on the N2 Highway in Knysna in the Southern Cape.

On arrival, ER24 paramedics discovered the wrecked light motor vehicle in the middle of the road. A cow lay in the middle of the road some distance away.

On assessment, paramedics discovered that both the male and female occupant from the vehicle had sustained only minor injuries.

The patients were treated for their injuries and we’re transported to Mediclinic Plettenberg for further treatment.

Unfortunately the cow was killed in the incident.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
