Two people injured after taxi rolls down embankment in Pietermaritzburg

Two men were injured this morning after their minibus rolled down a small embankment off Edendale Road in Pietermaritzburg.

On arrival, ER24 paramedics found a mini-bus lying at the bottom of a small embankment on its side.

On inspection, paramedics found that the two occupants had already climbed out of the vehicle and crawled up to the road.

Paramedics assessed the two men and found that both men had escaped with only minor injuries.

Both patients were treated and transported to Edendale Hospital for further treatment.

It is understood that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll down the embankment.

Authorities were on scene to investigate further further.
