Last night at 22:03 EMER-G-MED’s RV1, RV3, RV6, M06, A01 and A06 as well as other services responded to reports of a two car rollover on the N1 North just after the Buccleuch Interchange, north of Johannesburg.
Paramedics arrived to find that two cars had been involved in a collision, and had both rolled off the road – landing near a storm water drain on the side of the highway.
On assessment it was found that five people had been injured, with two sustaining serious injuries that required Advanced Life Support care.
The patients were treated for their injuries on-scene before being transported by EMER-G-MED and other services to various nearby facilities.
The exact cause is unknown, but it is suspected that alcohol was a contributing factor. JMPD were on the scene to investigate fully.
