Taxi rolls killing two and injuring 10, Ruimsig.

Two men have been killed and ten others injured this morning after a taxi rolled down an embankment on Hendrik Potgieter Road in Ruimsig, west of Johannesburg.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 07h30 and found the taxi lying upright on the side of the road, down a small embankment.

On closer inspection, paramedics discovered the bodies of two men lying motionless next to the vehicle. Unfortunately, both men had sustained fatal injuries in this incident. Nothing more could be done for both these patients and they were declared dead on scene.

Ten other patients that were scattered around the scene were assessed by emergency services. The injuries found ranged from minor to serious.

Paramedics treated the patients and provided the seriously injured with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the patients were transported to various hospitals including

Laratong and Helen Joseph.

Local authorities were on the scene to investigate further.
