Pretoria crash leaves three injured

At 12h23 on Friday afternoon Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a collision along the M18 near the Irene Train station in Pretoria. Reports from the scene indicate that a Kia Bakkie and a truck collided head-on however, the exact detail to the cause of the crash remains a subject for police investigation and comment.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that two people from the bakkie sustained critical injuries and another was in a serious condition, the driver of the ruck escaped uninjured. Paramedics worked fervently at the scene to stabilise the injured, the two critically injured was transported to a hospital in Tembisa under the constant care of advanced life support paramedics. The seriously injured patient was treated at the scene and transported by another service to a nearby hospital for further care.
