Pinetown crash leaves ten people injured

At 07h06 on Monday morning Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a vehicle that overturned on the M13 West bound lane on Fields Hill, Pinetown. Reports from the scene indicate that the construction bakkie with ten people were rounding a bend when the rear tyre burst. The vehicle then rolled its twisted frame coming to rest on its roof.

Paramedics and the fire department arrived at the scene and found the roadway littered with accident debris and the twisted frame of the vehicle. The passenger that was on the back of the bakkie was thrown off the vehicle onto the roadway.

After the injured were examined it was found that ten people sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor. Medics treated them at the scene before transporting them to various hospitals for the care that they required.
