Edendale three injured after taxi and bakkie collide

Three people were injured this afternoon following a collision between a taxi and bakkie on the Edendale Road in Pietermaritzburg.

ER24 paramedics were on route to hospital when they came across the incident.

Upon inspection, paramedics found that a taxi and bakkie had collided head-on. Several occupants from the taxi had already climbed out of the vehicle.

Upon assessment, paramedics found that a man and two women had sustained only minor injuries in the collision.

The patients were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to nearby provincial hospitals for further care.

It is believed that the driver lost control of the bakkie, causing it to swerve in front of the taxi.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
