One man has been killed and three others injured this afternoon when a light motor vehicle crashed into a roadside barrier on the N2 northbound in Twini Hill, KwaZulu-Natal.
ER24 paramedics, along with various other services, responded through heavy traffic and arrived on the scene to find the light motor vehicle in the slow lane of the highway.
Upon closer inspection, paramedics found the body of a man, believed to be in his 30s, lying in the slow lane.
Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the man and he was declared dead on the scene.
Three other men were found lying next to their vehicle. Paramedics assessed the men and found that they had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
The patients were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
It is understood that the driver lost control of his vehicle, causing it smash into the roadside barrier.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
