Soweto crash leaves three injured – one critically so


On Sunday afternoon at 15h25 Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a collision along Odendal Road next to the Soweto Dam. Reports from the scene indicate that the light motor vehicle collided with a rubble truck. Exact detail to the cause and preceding events will however remain a subject for police to investigate.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that three people sustained injuries. One was in a critical condition, one sustained seriously injuries and one escaped with minor injuries. The Netcare 911 advanced life support paramedic and his team stabilised the critically injured patient and the patient with minor injuries. The other patient was treated by another private ambulance service.

The injured were treated and spinally immobilised before medics transported them to various hospital for the care that they required.
