Honda Quest 2017 These are the teams!

The 20 participants of Honda Quest 2017 set off from the Namibian capital of Windhoek today, heading for the majestic Spitzkoppe, along with a scenic 350km route of mostly gravel roads that gave everyone the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the Honda CRF 1000L Africa Twins on which they will compete for the next 11 days and 2500km.

While the excitement was palpable, there was also a sense of unease amongst the competitors, as no-one knew who their team mate would be. For some this could be a make or break situation, as the personality types in each of the ten two-person teams could play a huge role in the days to come, determining the outcome of Honda Quest.

Finally, the organizers instructed everyone to assemble around the campfire and informed them who their team mate would be. From now on they would have to rely on one another, even if they’d only briefly met at Honda Quest Boot Camp barely a month ago.

How will they get along with one another? How will they manage their different strengths and weaknesses? How will they handle conflict? How will they cope with adversity? They definitely went to bed with a lot of questions, trying to determine their game plan. Questions that no doubt will be answered over the course of the following few days.
