Pedestrian killed on M13 in Hillcrest

A pedestrian, believed to be in his thirties, was killed this evening when he attempted to cross the M13 in Hillcrest.

Shortly before 7pm paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene where they found the pedestrian lying in the road. Upon assessment they found that he sustained multiple fatal head and facial injuries. Unfortunately, there was nothing that paramedics could do for him and he was declared dead on the scene.

The driver of the vehicle that collided with the pedestrian was assessed on scene. He sustained no injuries and was only in shock.

Local law enforcement attended the scene and will conduct an investigation.
