Man critically injured after jumping off a train, Johannesburg

A man was left critically injured this morning after he jumped off a moving train at the New Canada Train Station in Johannesburg South.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 08h25 and found the man lying next to the tracks surrounded by a number of onlookers.

Paramedics immediately began their assessment and found that the man had sustained numerous injuries, leaving him in a critical condition.

The man was treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the patient was transported to Helen Joseph Hospital for urgent treatment.

It is unknown as to why the man jumped from the train but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
